Two Hearts as ONE!

Hello friends!
There is an Altenew promotion at the end of this post.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today's project was sort of "accidental"...
I was going to work on a DT project and things didn't go as planned. So then,
 one thing led to another, I ended up creating this card!
I used Rebecca Lace Background Cling Stamp , Big Greetings, and Wonky Hearts Wafer Dies
Congrats
I started out with Rebecca Lace Background Cling Stamp
s
(you can use the new Ornate Background Cling Stamp) and did some multi-color stamping MISTI and Distress Oxide.
s
I used the smallest Wonky Hearts Wafer Dies and CEMENT two of them together.
congrats #1
I love the joint hearts and the sentiment from Big Greetings.
edited (thanks to a question raised by foleysfriend/Sue): I stamped the Rebecca BG image in Distress Oxide and then clear-embossed it right away (without re-inking in Versamark). Although you can still ink it up with Versamark with the help of MISTI. However, Distress Oxide is awesome that way!
As for the thin strip of paper, I was going to toss the extras into the trash bin....
Then (my light bulb moment--->Ding!)
I thought: "Hey! Use it!" That's how the "Design Paper" came about!
congrats
I save the largest embossed and die cut heart for another project!
I really like this look. Hope you do, too!
So beautiful; question (because I want to try this myself), did you heat emboss the Rebecca Lace Background stamp with that gorgeous peach colour? Or did you use an archival ink (wouldn't bleed with distress oxides - right)? Or another Virginia "trick". I love how you carried the "designer paper" you created to that thin strip on the bottom. Perfection!
Thanks, everyone, for your kind and thoughtful comments! :)
To foleysfriend: I am so glad that you asked...that means people are "paying attention" to what I create! I stamped the Rebecca BG image in Distress Oxide and then clear-embossed it right away (without re-inking in Versamark). Although you can still ink it up with Versamark with the help of MISTI. However, Distress Oxide is awesome that way! As for the thin strip of paper, I was going to toss the extras into the trash bin....then (my light bulb moment--->Ding!) I thought: "Hey! Use it!" That's how the "design Paper" came about! (LOL)So glad that you stopped by, Sue!
Accidental on not, this is just plain fabulous. Love the embossed hearts and the subsequent cementing of them together. Clever girl...never toss anything...that strip of paper adds so much to your design. Even the sentiment is the perfect font for this card.
Wonderful card. I like your ability to take one idea and create another.
I'm sorry, Virginia, but Irma is going to do damage. I hope Floridians get out of the way.
