STAMPtember New Release

The new release from Simon Says Stamp is here!
I am always looking forward to STAMPtember at this time of the year.
The new release has some really awesome designs (see here).
I was lucky to have a few goodies waiting for me upon my return from the cruise to Norway.

One of the dies in this collection is Nadine Snowflake Wafer Die.
I have a few snowflake dies by now, but I find the simplicity of this snowflake die speaks volumes.
snowflake (square card)

I created my own watercolor paper with Spectrum Aqua Markers and made the die cut. I kept the design super simple and only added strings and sequins to complete this 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card.

My 2nd card is a bit more elaborate.

I made the die cut on a piece of thin paper and used the negative image as a stencil. Then I used pattern paper (with music notes) from My Mind's Eye and made three snowflakes.
season's greetings

I am not ready for winter yet. But this dies sure reminds me the beauty of winter wonderland.
Hope you are having a fabulous day! I am getting over the jet lag and am feeling almost back to normal! Thanks for looking.

Love the modern look of this new snowflake. Like it even more now that I've seen how you enhances and embellished it in your first card. The second one took my breath away. Brillint that you used musical paper to diecut them and stencilled them in those lovely blues. Like the bling on them, as well. Makes me shiver.

Welcome home, Virginia! I can't wait to see pics from your cruise :)
I agree with you, this snowflake speaks volumes and can be showcased by itself beautifully, or staggered as you have done on your 2nd card! Two really stunning creations, Virginia...as ALWAYS!!!

Wow Virginia, these are both such amazing cards!! Just love the blue snowflake against all that yummy, crisp white. Your second card is pure genius. How did you come up with the idea to use music note paper?? I would never have thought of that but it works perfectly, adding that little bit of interest with the pattern. Brilliant!!

Virginia, really like what you did with the craft paper and the white ink on the leaves. I own a ton of craft card stock and I LOVE leaves and needed an excuse to use my white ink pad in a new way. The snowflakes are great too!
