Hello! Today I am sharing two cards using the same set of dies. This set called Thank You Heart Dies (from Simon Says Stamps) truly is intricate and versatile. I think you can use it all year round!
BIG thanks to Laura Bassen for gifting me this (among many goodies) diecut while I visited her in Chicago.
I diecut the image in three different colors and then assembled the pieces like a puzzle.
With pattern paper (American Crafts) and stamping (Fresh Squeezed Stamps), this card was complete! The hardest part was to decide which color goes where. And then I used the left over pieces and came up with this design...which was totally unintentional. Love that!
I simply layered and overlapped the three pieces just slightly (let the colors show through) and added the solid orange heart diecut for the background. Voila!

Way to make Laura proud, Virginia!! Both cards are gorgeous. Three cheers for happy accidents, right?! Your last card is so awesome with the dies slightly off each other. It's neat how some areas you can see the color and some you can't! Couldn't have planned it any better : )
